Description
Lachanotrachanoulis is a children's vegetable trahanas by Samarina, the Bina family's traditional pasta workshop in Trikala. The small grains are made from wheat flour, potato, carrot, courgette and Florina pepper, without milk, and cook into a vegetable soup for children.
No salt goes into the recipe, so you decide how much to salt the dish, or whether to leave it unsalted for young children. 3–4 tablespoons in half a litre of water make 2 servings, so the 450 g pack lasts for many meals.
It cooks in 10 minutes into a warm, thick little soup for lunch or dinner, with a little olive oil or grated cheese on top. Lachanotrachanoulis received a Gold award at the Mediterranean Taste Awards 2020, as stated on the pack.
