Description
Chamomile flower (Matricaria chamomilla) is one of the most widespread and widely used herbs in Greece and worldwide.
It is traditionally used as a soothing drink, while it is recognized for its anti-inflammatory, relaxing and digestive properties.
Ideal for consumption as a tea or for topical use on irritations, eyes or skin.
Instructions for use
- Tea: Pour 1 cup of warm water into 1 tablespoon of chamomile. Leave it for about 10 minutes and strain. Drink 3-4 cups during the day.
- Chamomile oil: Crush a handful of chamomile flowers into powder. Put the powder along with 1/2 cup soybean oil in a container, seal it and leave it for 6 weeks. Shake it daily. When the oil turns amber, strain it through a cloth and squeeze the flowers well. Store the oil in a tightly sealed container.
