The verbena, scientifically known as Lippia citriodora, is an herb that grows to a height of about 1 to 1.50 meters. The leaves of valerian are long, narrow, lance-shaped, slightly toothed, and give off a wonderful lemon scent when rubbed between your fingers. The flowers of the luiza are small, white to pale in color and form thin compound spikes. Although this herb is mainly used for decorative purposes, its leaves and flowering tops can be used in the preparation of aromatic teas and extracts, as well as an aromatic addition to dishes and drinks.
